Safety measures during in-person event

Based on state and federal public health guidelines as well as internal policies, we expect staff and attendees to adhere to the following safety protocols.

At the registration desk, we will ask all attendees to provide one of the following:

  • Negative RT-PCR test on the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus
  • Negative antigen test on the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus
  • Vaccination certificate (please note that 14 days should pass after the last dose)
  • Certificate of recovery (valid during 180 days after the recovery from SARS-CoV-2 virus)

If the attendee cannot provide any of the above, rapid antigen testing before the registration must be done.

Individuals (including staff, event hosts, and attendees) should not attend an in-person event if they,
or anyone in their household, are displaying any of the following symptoms:

    • Fever (37C or higher)
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Chills
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Chest pain or pressure

If the attendee displays any of the above symptoms, a credit note will be issued without penalty
(if applicable).

To minimise risk at the meeting:

  • GIA Global Group staff, Event hosts, and attendees are required to wear a mask at all times, except for individuals who cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition (in that case you must provide a valid confirmation from your General Practitioner).
  • GIA Global Group staff will enforce gathering size restrictions.
  • Accommodations will be made to minimise or eliminate high touch” interactions (e.g. signing in, paying registration fees, handing out materials, opening or closing doors, etc.)
  • The social distancing of at least 1,5 m must be maintained throughout the event. GIA Global Group staff will monitor social distancing and issue reminders as necessary. Social distancing does not apply to members of the same household who traveled to an event together.
  • Any food served at an event will be pre-packaged or served a la carte.
  • Soap and water, clean paper towels or a hand dryer, hand sanitisers (at least 60% alcohol), and/or disinfectant wipes will be available for all event participants.
  • Any shared items will be sanitised as needed.

The safety measures may be modified to fulfil the local state restrictions in the host country.
